i don't want to believe that poetry is a dead, lost art. i have so little to convince me otherwise.

where are the open mics?

where is the living word (a beautiful sequence of eloquence or the spewings of rotting minds)?

i don't take myself so seriously... are poets today required to be pretentious?

tell me where to go to read and hear poems worthy of an ear!

around what hours do these shindigs begin? the monday/ tuesday ones you mentioned. i'm not good for signing up in advance *smile* ...

Monday at tony's starts around 8 (officially), but always starts late and goes late. Alberta St on Tuesday, sign up is at 7, and they start promptly at 7:30.

Hope you come! It's loads of fun and everyone is a blast to be with :) Plus, there's mighty fine pomes...
