i don't want to believe that poetry is a dead, lost art. i have so little to convince me otherwise.

where are the open mics?

where is the living word (a beautiful sequence of eloquence or the spewings of rotting minds)?

i don't take myself so seriously... are poets today required to be pretentious?

tell me where to go to read and hear poems worthy of an ear!

It's next door to Backstreets in Old Town, where all the best poetry and art can be found. Yes, I have been waiting here by my computer all night, waiting for your inevitable question about where to find Somedays.

I don't know, I think I've mentioned it before on LJ. They have $5 cover shows where you can hear 9, 10 fabulous artists perform--writers, musicians, etc. Very young, hip crowd.

it is so funny that you say that. i recall (bleary eyed, it was early/late though i don't remember the exact hour) thinking how i would need to wait until after i've slept for an answer to "where is somedays". and how pixellated text person ="somanyroses" is probably sleeping, which is probably decent.

yet there you are! my question, answered not two minutes later. miracles.
